1. Who We Are & What This Covers

Talentify is a short-form video and talent discovery platform operated by Future Gate for Technical Solutions LLC (“FutureGate,” “we,” “us”), a limited liability company registered in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Commercial Registration No. 82259; National Establishment No. 200213258). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it — including how our recommendation algorithm works — who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have.

This Policy applies to the Talentify mobile application, the website talentifyapp.com, and related services (together, the “Service”). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions, available at https://talentifyapp.com/terms. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide to us

Account information. When you register, we collect your username, email address and/or phone number, password (stored in hashed form), date of birth, and any profile details you choose to add, such as a display name, bio, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email address (or Apple’s private relay address) that the provider shares with us — we never receive your Google or Apple password.

Content you create. Videos you upload or record, captions, hashtags, comments, votes, challenge entries, and messages you send through the Service. Videos may include your image and voice.

Coins and wallet records. Coins on Talentify can only be earned through in-app activity (such as daily streaks, quests, and challenge wins) and used to send tips and gifts to other creators. Coins cannot be purchased with real money and cannot be withdrawn or converted to cash. We keep a record of your Coin balance, gifts sent and received, and challenge entries. We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or any other payment information.

Communications. Messages you send to our support team, reports you submit, and survey responses.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Usage and interaction data. The videos you watch and for how long, whether you watch to the end or skip, videos you like, share, or download, accounts you follow, comments you post, searches you run, challenges you view or vote in, and the times you use the app. These interaction events power your personalized feed (see Section 4).

Device and technical data. Device model, operating system and version, app version, language and region settings, IP address, time zone, mobile network information, and device identifiers used for app functionality, security, and push notifications.

Approximate location. We infer your approximate location (country/region level) from your IP address and device settings to show regionally relevant content and comply with regional feature restrictions. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Diagnostics. Crash logs and performance data (such as error traces and device state at the time of a crash) so we can find and fix bugs.

2.3 Information from others

Other users. Other users may mention you, interact with your content, or report content in which you appear.

Sign-in providers. Google and Apple share basic profile data when you use their sign-in, as described above.

3. How We Use Your Information

Where the data protection law applicable to you requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (operating the Service you signed up for), our legitimate interests (safety, security, service improvement), your consent (where required, such as optional notifications), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How Our Recommendation Algorithm Works

We believe you should understand how your feed is built. This section explains, in plain language, how Talentify decides which videos to show you.

4.1 What the algorithm is for

Talentify’s home feed is personalized: instead of showing every user the same videos, our ranking system tries to predict which videos you are most likely to enjoy, based on how you and people with similar tastes have interacted with content on the platform.

4.2 The signals we use

The ranking system uses the following categories of information:

• Your interactions — the strongest signal. This includes how long you watch each video and whether you finish it, videos you like, share, or download, comments you post, creators you follow, and challenges you vote in. Skipping a video quickly is also a signal.
• Information about the videos — captions, hashtags, audio, video category, language, and how other users have engaged with that video (for example, its completion rate and like ratio).
• Basic account and device settings — your language preference, country/region, and device type, so we can show content you can actually understand and play smoothly.

What we do not use: the ranking system does not use your precise location or your private support messages. We do not attempt to infer sensitive characteristics such as your religion, health, or political views to rank content.

4.3 How ranking actually happens

When you open your feed, ranking happens in two stages:

1. Candidate selection. From all eligible videos, the system first gathers a pool of candidates — for example, recent popular videos in your region and language, videos from creators you follow, and videos similar to ones you have enjoyed.
2. Personalized scoring. Each candidate is then scored using a combination of:
   • a machine-learning model that learns a numerical representation (“embedding”) of your tastes from your interaction history and a matching representation of each video, and predicts how likely you are to watch and engage with it; and
   • rule-based ranking logic that adjusts scores for freshness (newer videos get a chance to be seen), variety (so your feed isn’t dominated by one creator or topic), regional relevance, and overall engagement quality.

Your interaction events (views, watch time, likes, and so on) are streamed to the ranking system continuously, so your feed adapts as your interests change. The machine-learning model itself is retrained periodically on aggregated interaction data.

If the machine-learning component is temporarily unavailable, the system automatically falls back to the rule-based ranking alone (popularity, freshness, and region), so the feed keeps working without personalized scoring.

4.4 How moderation affects ranking

Safety signals feed directly into ranking. Content that is under review, has been flagged by our moderation systems, or comes from accounts with repeated violations may be shown to fewer people or removed from recommendations entirely, as described in Section 5.

4.5 How you can influence your feed

• Follow or unfollow creators to directly shape your candidate pool.
• Watch, like, and share what you enjoy — and skip what you don’t. The system learns from both.
• Block users to stop seeing their content and interactions entirely.
• Report content that violates our rules; confirmed violations are removed from everyone’s recommendations.

Deleting your account deletes the interaction history and taste profile used to personalize your feed (see Section 9).

5. Content Moderation & Safety

To keep Talentify safe, uploaded content passes through a multi-stage moderation pipeline:

• Automated screening. Machine-learning systems analyze uploaded videos — including visual frames, audio transcripts, and text such as captions and comments — to detect nudity, violence, hate speech, and other content prohibited by our Terms.
• Community reports. Reports from users are combined with automated signals to prioritize review. Report handling takes into account the reliability of past reports to resist abuse of the reporting system.
• Human review. Borderline or disputed cases are escalated to human moderators, who make the final decision and can remove content, restrict accounts, or dismiss reports.

We process content and account data for these purposes as a core part of operating the Service. Records of enforcement decisions are retained to handle appeals, detect repeat violations, and meet legal obligations. Where content indicates a risk of serious harm — in particular any content exploiting or endangering children — we may report it to relevant authorities.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. We share data only in these situations:

• Other users and the public. Your profile, public videos, comments, likes on public content, and challenge entries are visible to other users. Your follower and following lists may be visible depending on your settings.
• Service providers. Companies that process data on our behalf under contract: cloud infrastructure and hosting providers, content delivery and security networks, media storage providers, crash-reporting and diagnostics services, and email delivery providers. They may only use the data to provide services to us.
• Legal reasons. Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or where necessary to enforce our Terms, protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public, or detect and prevent fraud or security issues.
• Business transfers. If FutureGate is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction; this Policy will continue to apply, and we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your data.

7. Advertising & Tracking

Talentify does not display third-party advertising and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not share your data with data brokers or ad networks. Analytics and diagnostics data we collect are used solely to operate and improve Talentify itself.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy, and on iOS we will request your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before any tracking occurs.

8. Where Your Data Is Stored

Our servers are hosted in data centers located in the European Union (Germany). Because Talentify serves users across the Middle East and elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the EU and in the countries where our service providers operate. Wherever your data is processed, it is protected by the safeguards described in this Policy and by contractual commitments with our providers, and where legally required we implement recognized transfer mechanisms.

9. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Account and profile data — for as long as your account exists.
• Content — until you delete it or your account, after which it is removed from public view and deleted from our systems within a limited period, except copies in routine backups (deleted on backup rotation) or content we must retain for legal, safety, or enforcement reasons.
• Interaction and feed-personalization data — associated with your account while it exists; deleted or irreversibly de-identified when your account is deleted. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be retained.
• Coin and gift records — retained while your account exists and thereafter only as required for fraud prevention and legal obligations.
• Moderation and enforcement records — retained as needed to handle appeals, prevent banned users from returning, and meet legal obligations.

10. Your Rights & Choices

• Access and update. You can view and edit your profile information in the app at any time.
• Delete your content. You can delete any video or comment you posted.
• Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data directly in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing dpo@talentifyapp.com. Deletion is permanent after a short grace period during which you can cancel by logging back in.
• Data access and portability. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us.
• Notifications. You can turn push notifications on or off in your device settings or in-app settings at any time.
• Objection and restriction. Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Jordanian users have the rights provided under Jordan’s Personal Data Protection Law; Egyptian users have the rights provided under Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020); users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have the rights provided under the GDPR and UK GDPR respectively.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@talentifyapp.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard measures, including encryption of data in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, short-lived access tokens with revocable sessions, firewalled infrastructure, network-level protections against attacks, and strict internal access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

12. Age Requirements & Young Users

Talentify requires all users to be at least 17 years old, as set out in our Terms & Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 17 (or below any higher minimum age applicable in your country). Under applicable law — including Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law — data of users under the age of majority is treated with heightened protection. If you believe someone under the minimum age is using the Service, please contact us at dpo@talentifyapp.com and we will terminate the account and delete its data.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect, and we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
